Rory Brown has written a great post here entitled “so, should we all give up and go home?” which is well worth a read for people in UK media and publishing.
Too much negativity is certainly heaped on to the state of traditional media – rather than looking forward. There is so much opportunity now for innovation in a sector which is taking a hammering. I think that’s what I’m excited by. I hark on about Peter’s article, “The Great Transition” but he’s so right.
Following Rory’s post, instead of giving up and going home, I’d have one comment to add for anyone in UK media – especially the rising generation; setup a blog.
It may seem arduous and time consuming but it’s your online presence. It’s a great way to connect with people, try new applications and to share and publish your views.
